A great past
BP Woodworks has been exceeding clients’ expectations since 1975. With a passion for carpentry nurtured from a very young age, the founder, Bernard Portelli, sought to grow in this trade by following courses in Gozo. His love for the craft of carpentry continued to flourish when he opened a small workshop in the village of Gharb.
Soon enough, many were entrusting him with furnishing their homes and the demand grew too big for the little workshop. BP Woodworks hence invested in a larger workshop with new state of the art machinery that meets all CE safety standards.
As demand continued to grow and the need to showcase furniture became all the more imperative, BP Woodworks inaugurated a showroom in Victoria. After five years, this was moved close to the workshop to serve clients better.

An Exciting Present
Demand for unique BP Woodworks furniture continued to grow, and our expanding clientele sought us for projects both in Gozo and Malta. We’ve moved with the times, adapting our work to reflect the latest trends and designs, using versatile and high-quality materials to deliver unique pieces worth boasting about.
Throughout the years, we managed to build a strong portfolio of domestic and commercial work. The experience we’ve garnered since the early days of BP Woodworks allows us to take on a diverse array of projects, and to deliver these according to the specific requests of our clients.
The past was great, but the present is exciting, and the future’s looking bright. Our clients’ impressive feedback gives us the will and energy to develop further and build on what we’ve already brought to the fore.

Because of this, we’ve taken our craftsmanship to a higher level with a new factory that better meets the needs of our clients. Regardless of our new size, we still hold dear the fundamental values of carpentry in creating bespoke furniture pieces to be proud of.
